The Wizards of Ur [Mar. 11th, 2008|10:36 am]
[Tags|, , ]
[Current Mood | weird]
[Current Music |Los Campesitos]

A brand new sketch blog for artists Chuck Whelon (Pewfell), James V. West (Pan-Gea), A.P. Furtado(Elf'n'Troll) and Nate Piekos (Atland).

In the ancient lands of Ur there roamed a class of warrior wizards, whose sole mission was to enlighten the world through their arcane scribblings and mystical arts. Pens in hand, swords at the ready, these Wizards of Ur were a remarkable force with unrivaled powers. Their like, it was said, would not walk the earth again until the time of humanity's direst need!

Yes, myself and 3 of the world's leading maestro's of cartoon fantasy comics have decided to combine forces to create the überBlog to destroy all others. The names of my fellow bloggers should be familiar to many of you, but if you're a fan of Pewfell and haven't seen their work then prepare to have your eyes pop out on stalks!

As The Wizards of Ur we aim to provide you with oodles of that mouth-watering, cartoony, sci-fi/fantasy comix goodness that you love. On our feed you'll get to see our latest and greatest art, sketches and comics pages. We'll also all be posting all that other crazy stuff that we used to post on our individual blogs, i.e.: links to stuff we think is cool, long lost drawings from our archives, personal reflections, rants and just about anything else that comes to mind.

Several New Pewfell episodes posted on Clickwheel.net. [Aug. 7th, 2006|12:04 am]
We'll as you may or may not have noiticed I've been on vacation for a bit -- just a couple of weeks R&R back in Blighty, but preparations and whatnot made life back in the trenches here all bit hectic, what. Though I have been updating the strip on time, I've not had a moment to post anything here in the jolly old journal for a while. Anyway, I've been playing catchup a bit this week, and have posted 3 delectable new Pewfell episodes for iPod download at http://www.clickwheel.net/features/show/23.

We're at #11 in the Clickwheel charts right now, so are making a push to crack the top10. Help us to go over the top by downloading them now. You'll also be assisting us in reaching our goal of 10,000 downloads before Christmas, which i'm sure all you all you base 10 fans out there will agree is an exciting milestone!

Toodle pip!

And you don;t even want to see my MySpace page. I need to post some sketches here or summit --- I will try to rectify that this week, I'm sure I have some goodies somewhere just for y'all. In the meantime there's some new episodes up at http://www.pewfell.com.

New Pewfell posted [Jun. 4th, 2006|12:29 am]
New strips are up at Pewfell.com.

Also there you'll find an exciting historical document detailing how I came to create the strip, what happened when I first met Joey Manley, how Moderntales got started and how  my co-writer Adam Prosser & I formed our beautiful friendship. Incidentally, one of Adam's other strips 'Freak-U' has been topping the charts over at Webcomics nation recently. It's very funny and well worth a read.

Testing Deep Sender [May. 12th, 2006|10:16 am]
[info]wilburonline ust asked me why I hadn't posted any Pewfell here recetly. No reason really just too lazy I suppose -- anyway, here, in one massive post, is what I didn't get round to posting:

Volume 5:

I guess it would be polite to put the rest of these behind a cut... )

I've been a bit negligent about posting these into the old journal of late, so here's what I missed on Vol 4. Been busy with a photo/videoshoot at work for what will probably be an impossible banner campaign to produce at work. No doubt it's going to take up a lot more of my time over the next few weeks, but I'm happy to say that I'm way ahead on new material for vol 5 at the moment, so hopefully no updates will be missed!

Testing Deepest Sender [Mar. 2nd, 2006|02:40 pm]
This is just a test of Deepest Sender. [info]drewweing  was asking in his journal  about a way to post to both Blogger & LiveJournal in one easy step.
http://deepestsender.mozdev.org/ was suggested as a Firefox plugin. Even just as a post editor it seems to be working exceedingly well, so i thought I'd give it a whirl myself ....
